Sleepwalking and Sleeptalking?

It was last night, after I had brushed my teeth and was about to turn in. My brother was already sleeping in his bed by then, so I silently crept into my bed and threw the covers over myself and tried to sleep.

As usual, it always takes me a couple of tosses and turns before I finally fall asleep. So first I tossed and faced the wall. Then I turned and faced my brother's bed. Then again I tossed again. And turned, and tossed. And turned again. Now that's when I decided to open my eyes.

*creepy black figure*
Me: Argh, Edwin, you frightened me!
Edwin: I know you're trying to get into my small room.
Me: Huh?
Edwin: The one with the big and small bats inside.
Me: *freaked out* Edwin....? You're sleepstanding and sleeptalking! Hello? Hello? Can you hear me? *waves*
Edwin: No, I'm not... *sleepwalks out of our bedroom*
Me: *puzzled*

It really wasn't the first time he sleeptalked, and he's said even more bizarre stuff before.

Edwin: Oi, don't steal my grenades lah!

Edwin: I can't find you leh, where are you?

Edwin: *weird noises/mumbling*

Or else he'll wake up, sleepwalk around the house in circles, and return again.

Dr. KW concludes that it's the result of too much video games.

The Path Less Travelled

It was the Rugby Finals today, and as always it's held at the Police Academy. But recently it moved from the nicely accessible Thomson Road to the far out and ulu-ulu Old Choa Chu Kang Road. Have you even heard of that road?!

Thankfully there was a chartered bus there; if not I'm sure that half the school would've gotten lost. And when we reached there we found out that Old Choa Chu Kang Road is like this little-wittle 2-lane road that's next to cemeteries and forests. >.>

Now, getting home was the problem; there wasn't a chartered bus home for us, so we had to make our own way back. They said we could take bus No.975 to Choa Chu Kang MRT, but _everyone_ was taking it, and since they're small little single-decker buses that service that little road, we would've taken forever to get onto a bus. There we were, panicking and wondering how to get ourselves out of that ulu-ulu place. x_x (By this time it's already 6.30.)

Then along came our 'saviours'; Kin Meng, Mark, and Ellius! They said that they knew the way to the MRT Station, so Bryan, Darrell, Jonathan and I chose to follow them. I've still no idea whether it was the right choice or not. XD

Well I thought it'd be a nice pretty paved path to the MRT; crossing a few roads, hopping and bobbing along the road... But no. Instead, when we turned the corner we saw the expressway. x_x KJE! There wasn't a proper path, so we were walking along the uneven grass; my feet hurt so much! >.> And the cars were right next to us, brushing against us sleeves! I have _never_ walked on an expressway before; it's a terrible feeling with all the cars that probably break the 90km/h speed limit and zoom past. And there was _no one_ except for us, plus I was _so_ worried that we'd get lost/we'd get knocked down by a car/we'd get ourselves into Sungei Tengah and starve to death.

Occasionally there'd be a nice paved path for us to walk on, and that's when I jump both for joy and onto the pavement. XD Walking, walking, we finally saw a sign that read 'Exit: Choa Chu Kang Road'! Turning in, we saw HDB flats, we saw people, we saw traffic lights, we saw shops -- CIVILISATION.

From there I just thought to myself that we'd reach soon. (And we had better cos' the sky was already getting dark!) We made our way through the town with help from our wonderful guides who lived in the area. Finally we heard the sound of the MRT gliding across the rail; I have never appreciated the sound it makes before. XD It gave me the energy to hasten and get back home!

By the time we reached the MRT station it was 7.30; a total of an hour's walk. >.> And then another hour for me to get back home and eat my cold dinner and bathe. >.>

But I guess it's an interesting experience, and it was pretty fun! XD (Although a map would've stopped me from worrying so much.) How often does one take the path less travelled anyway? ^^
